I'm a compulsive eater and compulsive debtor. I'm returning to 12-step programs after being out for a year, having previously been in it for a year and 3 months. I admit that my life has become unmanageable and I do not have control over my food or my compulsive financial habits.
I usually go to 2 face-to-face Overeater's Anonymous meetings each week. Currently there is only 1 Debtor's Anonymous group that I attend in my area (the other is bigger but inconvenient for me to attend), so I need somewhere else to share in an anonymous, 12-step environment. I also use online chat meetings and phone meetings, and in that same vein, will be looking for 12-step Live Journal groups that I can join.
Feel free to add me as a friend! You won't hurt my feelings if you later decide to remove me as a friend. I'm looking for other recovering addicts who turn to the web to share their story, experience, strength and hope.
I use this journal to keep track of my step-work, but things that I would share only with a sponsor are the only things kept private. I keep anything that I would share within the rooms for OA, DA, or open AA meetings public on this website, in the hope that it might help others.
